Overview

"Introduction to Hospitality" is a four-year undergraduate course of Tourism Management Major in Nankai University. The course will adopt a mixed teaching method, and the teaching language is English. The course is 2 credits and 32 class hours, including 20 class hours of online learning and 12 class hours of live course. The 20 class hours online learning will be divided into 5 modules, each module has 4 class hours; The 12 class hour live course is completed in three times with 4 class hours each time. The course is hosted by Li Chenxi, an excellent lecturer who has rich teaching experience and has been engaged in all English teaching in College of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University. And Liu Tingting, an excellent lecturer with international vision, is invited to teach together. The course is aimed at students majoring in tourism, tourism practitioners and social learners who are interested in tourism and hospitality. We are in the era of global tourism industry prosperity. Tourism and hospitality plays an important role in economic development. The course of Introduction to Hospitality will help students generate a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the overall situation of hospitality industry, important fields and the opportunities and challenges faced by the industry. It is conducive to the establishment of students' overall cognition of hospitality industry and the cultivation and development of independent thinking and problem-solving ability in the field.


“Introduction to Hospitality (接待业概论)”是南开大学旅游管理专业四年制本科专业课程,课程将采用混合式教学方式进行,课程授课语言为英语。课程为2学分,32课时,其中包括20学时在线学习,12学时为直播课程。20学时在线学习将分为5个模块,每个模块4学时;12学时直播课程分3次完成,每次4学时。课程由南开大学旅游与服务学院教学经验丰富、长期从事全英文教学的优秀讲师李晨曦主持建设,邀请了学院具有国际视野的优秀讲师刘婷婷共同授课。该课程面向旅游专业在校生、旅游从业人员、对旅游学科感兴趣的社会学习者。我们正处在全球旅游接待业繁荣的时代。旅游接待在经济发展中起着重要作用。接待业概论这门课程将帮助学生全面深入了解接待业的全貌、接待业中重要的产业领域以及接待业所面临的机遇与挑战,有利于建立学生对接待业的整体认知,以及培养领域内出现问题的独立思考和解决问题的能力。
