In this interactive, hands-on virtual class, a professional chef instructor will walk you through the basics of making your own sushi at home, from rice to rolls.Â
You will learn about sushi rice, hand rolls, cut rolls, nigiri, spicy tuna or salmon, crunch rolls, basic knife cuts and fish basics.Â

- 2 cups sushi rice (can substitute arborio in a pinch)
- â…“ cup unseasoned rice vinegar
- 2 Tbs. granulated sugar
- 1 ½ Tbs. salt
- 2 Tbs. white sesame seeds
- 2 Tbs. black sesame seeds
- 1 pack nori (7-10 sheets)
- ½ cup Panko breadcrumbs (also can have gluten-free option)
- Packets soy sauce
- Packets wasabi
- 2 Tbs. pickled ginger
- Packets Japanese mayonnaise
- Single Serve Matcha to drink with your rolls
- 1 medium-sized cucumberÂ
- 1 avocado
- 1 bunch scallions
- 5 oz. salmon (skin-on to make salmon skin) or sushi-grade tuna
- 1-2 pieces imitation crabmeat/crab stick
- Reusable Chopsticks with travel pouch 1 set
- Bamboo rolling mat
- Medium-sized saucepan with lid
