Join our chef to make pasta from scratch! Your group will make and knead a class pasta dough, hand-shape pappardelle pasta and create a marinara and pesto sauce from scratch. At the end, your group will enjoy delicious handmade pasta.Â
Materials Needed to Fully Participate:
- All-purpose flour (For Gluten-Free participants, please use gluten-free flour)
- Semolina flour (or all-purpose flour)
- Salt
- One bay leaf
- 1 14-oz. can tomatoes
- Pine nuts (or pistachios, almonds, sunflower seeds, or pumpkin seeds)
- Olive oil
- Two large eggs
- 2 Tbs. unsalted butter
- 1 cup ground Parmesan
- ½ medium yellow onion
- Six cloves garlic
- Two sprigs fresh thyme (or ½ tsp. dried thyme)
- One bunch basil leaves
- Fork
- Rolling pin or pasta machine
- Baking sheet
- Large pot for cooking pasta
- Colander or spider strainer
- Chef's knife
