FutureLearn is an online education provider based in the UK that offers online courses, popularly known as MOOCs or Massive Open Online Courses, from top universities and institutions around the world. Currently it has well over 200 partners including many top UK universities. Non-university partners include Amnesty International and UNESCO.
FutureLearn was launched in 2013 by The Open University which has a long history of distance learning and online education. FutureLearn is one of the most popular MOOC providers in the world based on the number of students (over 17 million learners) and has an active catalog of over 2000 online courses. In late 2022, FutureLearn was acquired by Global University Systems (GUS).
