How to get a FutureLearn Certificate for free?

A limited number of courses offer a free upgrade, including a certificate.
Certificates are generally not available for free. Materials for most courses are available for free, but if you want to earn a certificate, the cost is displayed in either British Pounds or your local currency when you click the Upgrade button which is visible on every page of the course. Unlike Coursera and edX, there is no mention of financial aid for disadvantaged students.
FutureLearn Unlimited is a single payment that gives you access to most courses in the FutureLearn catalogue for 12 months, including digital certificates of achievement and extended access for any courses you pass.
