Overview

一、Teaching content

This course is given by English language with half online teaching and half classroom teaching. Students mainly learn the physical culture of traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The course is full of interest and connects with the fields of Chinese art, music, cuisine, history, architecture, archaeology, philosophy and so on. The teaching purpose is to expand the student's vision, cultivate the cultural and artistic accomplishment and interest in learning, strengthen the professional English learning of TCM and improve the TCM students' confidence to Chinese culture and medicine.

      

二、 course positioning

1. Overseas graduate students: to train international TCM cultural communication talents who can master certain knowledge of TCM culture in combination with medicine and culture.

2. Domestic graduate students: to cultivate internationalized Chinese medicine talents with the combination of medical and cultural literacy, cultural confidence and certain international communication ability.

This course, which is taught in English, is characterized by the cross-integration of TCM materialistic culture with Chinese history, art, music, philosophy, landscape architecture, etc. It is committed to expanding the knowledge of TCM culture, TCM thinking and research scope of domestic and foreign postgraduates, and enhancing their self-confidence in TCM culture and interest in learning TCM. The goal is to train international Chinese medicine talents with Chinese medicine cultural accomplishment. Aiming at the language and communication confusion of domestic graduate students in overseas exchanges and cultural dissemination of Chinese medicine, and the narrow knowledge of Chinese medicine culture of overseas graduate students, this course takes physical culture as the main line of teaching, and through the analysis of physical objects and real scenes and the reflection on Chinese medicine issues, For domestic and foreign graduate students in the future international exchange and research to provide language and multidisciplinary knowledge teaching and research thinking training.

三、 Curriculum objectives

1. Master the history and connotation of the instrumental culture of Chinese medicine: Through the teaching of physical culture of Chinese medicine and the "cloud exploration" of museums and cultural relics, we will have a deep understanding of the history of Chinese medicine and stimulate the interest of students at home and abroad in the study of Chinese medicine culture.

2. Familiar with the English expression of Chinese medicine: Improve the professional language ability through English learning of Chinese medicine culture.

3. Expand research ideas: Train students to actively explore the culture of traditional Chinese medicine and actively explore the research thinking of the cross-integration of traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and multi-disciplines.

4. Promote cultural exchanges between China and the West: understand the international communication methods of TCM culture, and guide students to participate in the training and production of traditional skills and culture in the learning of TCM materialistic culture.
