Appreciation of Chinese and Western Cultures covers a wide range of topics on arts and cultural appreciations between China and Western countries including cuisine, clothing, architecture, calligraphy and painting, music and dance, sports, opera and drama as well as movies. The course aims to help learners both in China and oversea colleges broaden their horizon, acquire cultural knowledge, improve their capacity of aesthetics and intercultural communication through appreciating the fascinating achievements of Chinese and Western civilizations.
