英语语言与文化这门课程，是从语言与文化融合的角度对语言与文化关系展开探索。本课程共八个章节，38个知识点，从社会文化、社会习俗、希腊罗马神话、圣经文化、地理自然条件、历史、文化艺术、语言文化联想以及修辞运用等维度，对语言与文化进行分析。引导学生发现语言与文化相互依赖、相互影响的关系；探讨文化对语言的形成和制约作用；知晓语言表达的起源和涵义；掌握英汉语言与文化之间的主要差异，最终实现从语言中深入了解文化，又从文化中深度掌握语言。
