What is language? What function does language have? How do we acquire our mother tongue ? How do you read between the lines? Have you ever been puzzled by any of these questions? Language is as indispensable to us as air and water. Of Mountain Lu we cannot make out the true face, for we are lost in the heart of the very place. Sometimes the more familiar things are, the harder it is to see through them. In response to these questions, our Introduction to Language course adopts the form of Question and Answer in language learning, one lesson with one question, one lesson with one answer, in order to solve your doubts, take you to appreciate the beauty of language, uncover the mystery of language. Through selecting the key points and difficulties in the process of linguistics learning, this course develops students' rational thinking and cultivates their scientific research consciousness with a lively teaching mode; develops the habit of logical thinking based on conceptual analysis; foster skills of scientific analysis and problem solving, cross-cultural communication and critical thinking. The teaching content takes into account the study of theoretical knowledge and the cultivation of practical application ability. It guides students with professional knowledge of linguistics, edifies students with culture, inspires students with examples, encourages students to tell Chinese stories well in English, improves their sense of national identity, and builds their cultural confidence.
