Overview
This Course provides an overview of the role of yoga in managing anger. As a component oftotal personality development managing anger aims at training the participants in both easternand western perspectives, thus improving coping skills and imparting notional corrections.The course includes both theory and practice components; the theory modules will give anoverview of both eastern and western understanding of anger and details of various modernand eastern concepts to deal with it, connection of food, physical activity and emotions withthat of anger and an elaborate description of various yogic techniques such as pranayama,meditation and asanas in managing anger. The other part of the course will give anexplanation on hands on practice sessions of various yoga techniques starting from Jointloosening practices, breathing practices, asanas, pranayama, various meditative techniquesuseful for developing right kind of mindset by balancing mind body component and therebyenabling an individual to learn effective ways to manage his/her anger. By the end of theCourse, the participant will also be made aware of all the recent Evidence based Studies onyoga for Anger Management.Intended Audience:Both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students studying yoga or any other courses
