Overview

    The First Hospital of China Medical University was established in 1908,it is a comprehensive hospital indegrees medicine,education and research, which ranks first in the Northeast China. Under the leadership of professor Hao Zhang, teaching and research departments of surgery has developed into 17 three-level teaching and research departments and been with a large number of experienced teachers.

     Surgery is a branch of clinical medicine and a bridge course between basic medical theory with clinical practice. It plays an important role in medical education and involves the etiology, pathology, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and surgical skills of various surgical diseases. A basic medical knowledge of anatomy, pathology, pathophysiology, physiology and pharmacology is required prior to studying surgery. 

    Through the study of this course, students should master the basic theory, basic knowledge, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, treatment principles and measures of common diseases, gradually master the basic operation and skills of surgery, and cultivate the surgical clinical thinking ability, practical ability and clinical work ability to lay a solid theoretical and operational foundation for becoming a doctor.
