Solid State Physics is the fundaments of Materials Science, Condensed Matter physics, Microelectronics, etc. It main teach the mechanical, thermal, acoustic, optical, electric properties of solids, the microscopic structure of solid, the interaction between the component particles (atoms, ions, electrons), and the motion of these particles. By taking this course, students can understand various properties of solids (including metal, insulator, semiconductor), and acquire the basic knowledge of crystal structures, crystal vibration, and band structure.
