【 Course Introduction 】

 

This course consists of two modules: scientific research methods and English essay writing, with a total of 8 units. This course mainly introduces the basic knowledge of research design and research methods related to foreign language majors, and systematically shows the whole process of English academic paper writing through concrete examples. The specific contents include: Introduction to Scientific research Methods, Qualitative Research methods, Quantitative Research methods, Introduction to writing English academic papers, Structure of Empirical research papers, writing style, stylistic features, punctuation marks and APA format of English academic papers. The course aims to help you learn the knowledge of research and academic paper writing, cultivate the ability of positive thinking and new thinking, improve the ability of scientific research and academic paper writing, and provide relevant knowledge and guidance for writing graduation thesis in the future.

 

【 Course Features 】

 

This course is a comprehensive and systematic introduction to scientific research and English academic paper methods. The modules and chapters are arranged in an orderly manner, in line with the logical sequence of scientific research and paper writing. It is designed for beginners to teach you how to do research and write papers, and stimulate the academic interest of young students.

 

This course aims at the dilemma of English majors and other humanities undergraduates who have no way to start writing academic papers. It helps students to establish academic awareness and understand academic norms from a macro level. From the micro level, this paper introduces the writing style, phrasing, punctuation, paper format and other writing standards.

 

Professional teachers, strong Speaker teachers of this course is the direction of the applied linguistics, Dr, professor, with rigorous academic training, has nearly 30 years of teaching experience and teaching of research methods and writing courses more than 10 years experience in teaching, to understand the needs of the students to research methods and academic writing, accumulated the rich teaching resources. It helps undergraduates to master the methods of scientific research and the norms of writing through easy-to-understand case explanation, and provides preparation for the writing of undergraduate papers and future papers.
