1. Course overview

This course is the first professional core course of preschool education major (group), the starting point of the training of preschool education professional (group) skilled talents, and is a preschool teacher qualification certificate, national 1+x early childhood care vocational skill certificate, preschool education, early education professional security skills competition integration course. The curriculum aims to cultivate talents with model workers, labor spirit, and craftsman spirit, understanding, respecting and caring for children, loving preschool education, mastering professional childcare knowledge and skills, competent for childcare work, able to carry out people-oriented care and education work, and have the ability to integrate theory and reality with sustainable development. It is a strength practice course for preschool education professional groups to participate in the "three education reforms", "1+X certificate system" and "credit bank" of vocational education.

This course is guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with New Era Characteristics, sets up modular and hierarchical teaching content with professional positions (groups) work tasks, and builds a curriculum system with modules→ projects → tasks. Taking safety as the premise, health as the main line, following the cognitive law, and gradually sequentially teaching content with "physiological characteristics → development law→ health assessment→ health care skills→ collective child health care". At present, the course consists of two major knowledge systems (preschool education basis + care knowledge and skills), four modules (physical and mental development and evaluation of preschool children, nutrition and diet of preschool children, common health care knowledge and skills of preschool children, collective child health care), and nine project units (physiological characteristics and health care of preschool children + growth and development and evaluation, basic knowledge of nutrition +). Preschool children's diet, preschool children's disease prevention + prevention and first aid of common accidents + commonly used nursing and first aid techniques, physical and environmental hygiene of childcare institutions + hygiene of childcare institutions).

In 2011, "Preschool Children's Hygiene and Health" was recognized as a school-level excellent course. In 2013, this course was rated as an excellent resource sharing course in Shanxi Province, and a static website for the course was opened on the official website of the school, providing free resource download and course learning.  In April 2018, it entered the national teaching platform World University Town, and since 2019, it has been launched on platforms such as Xuetang Online.  In 2020, it passed the evaluation of Shanxi Province's excellent vocational education online open course, and in 2022, it will be launched on the national smart vocational education platform. A total of 6 online dynamic courses have been offered, with students all over the world, more than 700 foreign students, distributed in more than 20 countries and regions, and there are students and social learners on the online platform alone6More than 1,000 people have joined the online learning.

3. Course-related information

The main textbook of the course is "Preschool Children's Health and Health Care", edited by the course leader, published by Beijing Normal University Press, and has been rated as a demonstration textbook for vocational education reform and innovation, a series of planning textbooks for the "13th Five-Year Plan" series of preschool education majors (new standards), and an excellent recommended textbook for special vocational education in Jiangsu Province. It is the result of the sub-project "Research on the Integration of Information Technology and "Preschool Children's Health and Health Care" Curriculum" of the key project of the State Press and Publication Administration "Research on the Theory and Practice of the Integrated Development of Education and Publishing". The editors and publishers of the textbooks are qualified for political review, and the content, style and illustrations meet the requirements for the publication of national vocational education textbooks, and are integrated media teaching materials. The course video recording process follows technical standards, the content is constantly reviewed, and the form of original teaching documents is standardized, which meets the requirements of relevant national standards.
