Overview

Postgraduate English for Professional Masters is one of the mandatory courses for agricultural and forestry graduate students designated by the National Agricultural Professional Degree Graduate Education Guidance Committee. The teaching objective is to cultivate high-level talents with an international perspective who master English knowledge in the field of agricultural and forestry and equipped graduate students with the ability to use English for academic research and international academic exchange. The course is based on the teaching outline of “Postgraduate English for Professional Masters ", combining general purpose English with agricultural and forestry professional purpose English, aiming to improve the comprehensive application ability, humanistic literacy, and political literacy of professional degree masters. The course covers various aspects such as agricultural and forestry academic writing, agricultural and forestry academic translation, literary cultivation, cultural confidence, academic integrity, ecological civilization, respect for teachers, scientific and technological development and progress, etc. Adhering to the teaching philosophy of cultivating morality and cultivating talents, language knowledge and ideological and political elements are organically integrated into the curriculum, inspiring students' sense of responsibility and patriotism. The course helps to guide students to establish a correct outlook on life and values.
