Chinese Medical Formulae is a subject dealing with treatment and the theories of compatibility of prescription as well as the clinical application. In TCM, it is one of the important basic course and a close relationship with all other clinical branches，linking up the basic theories with clinical practices.
Through the study of this subject， the students will be able to master the ingredients， usage, indication, compatibility and application of 30 basic parties, representatives and commonly used parties, to guide students to master the principles of the group and the basic rules of compatibility, to cultivate the students' ability to analyze and use prescriptions, and to lay the foundation for the study of clinical courses in traditional Chinese medicine.
方剂学是研究治法与方剂配伍理论及其临床运用的一门学科，在中医专业中，既是一门重要的基础课，又与临床各科紧密相连，起着沟通基础与临床的桥梁作用。
通过方剂学的学习，使学生掌握30首左右的基础方、代表方、常用方的组成、用法、主治、配伍意义及其加减运用，引导学生掌握组方原理和配伍的基本规律，培养学生具有分析、运用方剂的能力，并为学习中医临床课程奠定基础。
