Medical molecular biology is a science that studies the life activities and corresponding principles of the human body and disease-related organisms in normal and disease states from the molecular level. The scientific aims of the studies are for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases with the molecular-level technology. As a hotspot in medical-related research, the frontier advances in medical molecular biology play a key role in supporting the scientific research and innovation of graduate students in medical-related fields.
In this field, the exploration of tumorigenesis and development mechanisms, tumor prevention and treatment methods, and correlated research means has an important position. In recent years, tumor research has been changing rapidly. This course focuses on the concepts of epigenetics, cell cycle and cell death with their roles in tumorigenesis and development, tumor prevention and treatment. The related new research progress, scientific research topics and research methods are also involved in the course.
The course instructors include Zeng Jiping, Yuan Detian and Mi Ping, all from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Shandong University.
The course references mainly come from the scientific research journals, including <Science>, <Nature>, <Cell>, <The New England Journal of Medicine>, <Cancer Cell>, <The Journal of Clinical Investigation>, <THE LANCET>, <Gastroenterology>, < Gut>, <Cancer Research>, and etc.
