Qualitative research methods are valuable in offering rich description of the complex phenomena. It is an important approach to illuminate unique experience, move forward explanation, and develop knowledge and theories.
As a student in tourism and hospitality field, it is important to understand people's needs through symbols, gestures, and face-to-face interactions in future work, thus qualitative research is well-suited to investigate this.
In this course, you are able to understand the following topics: Introduction to Qualitative Approach, Qualitative Research Questions, Research Design of Delphi Method, Qualitative Data Collection, example of Focus Group, Qualitative Data Analysis, and Writing Process of the Thesis. These sessions will be taught by PhD Zhang Junjiao together with other leading professors and researchers from Nankai University and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Don't worry if you have little experience for qualitative research, we will start from the simple topics and walk you through.
