Overview

This course provides an overview of basic concepts and principles essential to understanding the psychological and behavioral aspects of fitness and sport. Topics include motivation, anxiety, observational learning, imagery, exercise adherence, goal setting, and youth sport participation. Applications are made to future practitioners of coaching, teaching, sports medicine, counseling, sport management, and fitness instruction. Transfer credit: CSU; UC.
