ABOUT THE COURSE:Sensors are an integral part of almost all modern electronic appliances. The smartness of any electronic device is directly or indirectly related to the number of sensors integrated with it. Hence, it is extremely important to learn different technologies associated with sensors. This course targets to cover almost the entire basic spectrum of sensor technologies from physics to fabrication and to circuits. In this course, one would get details regarding sensor physics of typical sensors, and microfabrication technologies associated with sensors, followed by the typical circuit details associated with sensor system design.INTENDED AUDIENCE: B.Tech., M.Tech., BS-MS, and Research StudentsPREREQUISITES: Basic Electronics, or equivalent Electronic Devices and Circuits (desirable)INDUSTRY SUPPORT: Industries related to sensors and devices. A few are mentioned here among others,• Denso Corp.• Emerson Electric Co.• Infineon Technologies AG.• Panasonic Corp.• Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.• Robert Bosch GmbH.• Siemens AG.
