Overview
Syllabus
- Welcome to This Course
- In this module we will think together about what we mean by a thriving organization and define the role of generative leaders in helping to create the conditions for excellent work that simultaneously supports human wellbeing. You’ll learn how to think about leaders at all levels of an organization and what makes them generative.
- Understanding Generative Leadership
- In this module you will learn two core principles of generative leadership and how to put them into practice in a broad range of situations that call for flexibility and adaptability. We will challenge you to think about leaders you have known who use these principles and reflect on what you can learn from them that will help you develop as a generative leader.
- Generative Leadership in Times of Uncertainty
- In this module you will explore a comprehensive, evidence-based model of threat rigidity that shows you exact processes by which people, teams, and organizations respond to threatening situations in ways that undermine innovation and decrease performance. We will use our knowledge of how threat rigidity works to better understand how to actively deploy the principles and practices of generative leadership to mitigate rigidity and increase flexibility, building the capacity for resourceful change.
- Applying Generative Leadership in the Age of AI
- In this module you will put what you’ve learned about generative leadership to the test in the world of AI-driven change. You will engage in an interactive case study that asks you to make choices that correspond to the principles of generative leadership as you navigate the introduction and implementation of an AI-driven process improvement challenge. You’ll have a chance to reflect on what you’ve learned about yourself and how you can continue to practice generative leadership.
