This free online course is one of 10 courses available in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women collection, designed for entrepreneurs ready to take their business to the next level. In this course, you will understand leadership and its role in business growth. You will learn about leadership styles and reflect on your role as leader of your company.
You will consider leadership qualities and identify the core values and assumptions that influence how you lead. You will hear Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women alumni explain how implementing a Leadership Development Plan helped them to grow their business, before completing your own Leadership Development Plan to consider the actions you can take to help you improve your leadership skills.
You will also complete a Cultural Audit to consider and analyze your current organizational culture. By the end of the course, you will have created your Vision Statement, which describes your vision for the future of your business.

You have the freedom to approach the program in any way that works for you – take any course, or combination of courses, to tailor your learning journey to your individual business growth needs. Syllabus
- Fundamentals of Leadership, with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women
- In this course, you will learn about your role as leader of your company and employees. You will explore your own leadership style, and the core values and assumptions that influence how you lead. You will hear from other women business leaders, and create a Leadership Development Plan, identifying actions to help you build your leadership skills. Finally, you will complete a Cultural Audit, which encourages you to consider your business’s culture. By the end of the course, you will have created your Vision Statement, which describes your vision for the future of your business.

The course fundamentals of leadership has helped me discover my strength and weaknesses as a leader. I have known areas to make amend and areas to improve. The course has also broadened my knowledge on effective leadership as a founder. I have learnt how to delegate assignment etc.

This course opened up my eyes on matters leadership. I have always longed to have such training and I gained a lot of insights. It helped me re-define our company values and they look a lot better. In my previous vision statement, i had not included my employees as I don't have any right now. This made me think of the future growth with employees and an global business. I even learned about company assumptions. A very good course to take if you're looking for growth in your business!

The Fundamentals of Leadership course helped me gain insights into my Leadership style and how I can build on my strengths and improve my weaknesses.I also received practical guidance on how to craft a vision statement. The way the course is structured from the exercises to the self reflection will help internalise the learnings and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to take their business to the next level!
