The course "Fundamentals of UI Design" is a core curriculum in the Software Technology program, designed to meet the talent development objectives and the job requirements for UI designers. The course follows industry standards that prioritize intelligent, large-scale, and adaptive production models, driven by real-world projects. It incorporates key components from the 1+x certification framework, integrates professional skill competitions and academic contests, and introduces cutting-edge AIGC technologies. The course uses the latest industry case studies and typical work tasks, and is structured into five instructional modules based on mainstream interface platforms.
Adhering to the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach, the course emphasizes a "student-centered, outcome-oriented" teaching philosophy. It has established a teaching management system that includes "Four Creations," "Three Repositories," "Two Competitions," and "One Standard," with the goal of nurturing high-caliber, skilled professionals with competencies in "Creativity, Creation, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship."
The digital learning resources consist of 84 bilingual PowerPoint presentations, 98 bilingual micro-lecture videos (totaling over 1,000 minutes), 12 thematic discussions, and 180 practice exercises and exam questions. The course is designed to enhance students' technical and aesthetic abilities in interactive design thinking, color theory, layout composition, image processing, and other essential skills. In 2019, the course developed a series of micro-lectures on "Mobile APP Interface Design," which in 2020 was recognized as a top-tier blended learning course by the Chongqing Municipal Government.
