This course is a basic course for the major of computer science. Focusing on the TCP/IP reference model, this course explores the problems and solutions encountered when information is transmitted from source to destination, involving the basic principles of data communication and packet switching, the basic methods of subnetting, grouping and reorganisation and the introduction of important protocols such as IP and TCP. Through the study of this course, on the one hand, learners can better understand the operation mechanism of the network system, master the skills and methods of solving practical problems, and improve the practical ability and problem solving ability, and on the other hand, the study of the course can lay a solid foundation for the future career development of learners. Learners who have mastered the knowledge of computer networks can more easily adapt to and be competent in various network-related positions, such as network engineers, network security engineers, system administrators and so on.
