Physics of Fluid Flow in Porous Media(渗流物理)

via XuetangX

Overview

Petroleum is the key energy and strategic materials in the world. How to economically develop the oil and gas is the main task of petroleum engineers. This course is a basic course for Master students majoring in Oil & Gas Engineering in China University of Petroleum (East China). It is taught in Chinese for Chinese students and in English for international students. This course has 48 teaching hours for 3 credits.

As you know, flow everywhere in the world. From oil reservoir to gas reservoir, from Darcy to Non-Darcy flow, from conventional to unconventional, from traditional to new energy. This course can not only strengthen your basic concepts, basic principles, basis experimental skills, but also show you new advances in the petroleum industry, such as CO2 Capture and Storage (CCS), geothermal energy, gas storage, digital core technology and so on. Phenomenons related to multi-phase fluids, fluid-rock interactions (such as wettability, adsorption and desorption, fluid-rock reaction and so on) are complicated. The course includes 5 chapters, which are properties of reservoir fluids, properties of reservoir rocks, fluid flow in porous media, Physical models of Porous Media, physical and numerical simulations .

From 2015, this course was taught in English for international Master students. From 2019, the course in English for International students was rewarded “Shandong Provincial Postgraduate Quality Course ”.

To learn the course, you must conduct online study in “XuetangX”, attend the lectures online or face to face, finish chapter assignments, complete the presentation and discussion process and attend the online or off-line final exam.

The course is extremely valuable in equipping with you basis concepts and methods for your future career in petroleum industry.

Welcome to Physics of Fluid Flow in Porous Media and enjoy the course!
