Traditional Chinese festivals are a part of Chinese civilization and a window into traditional Chinese culture. The course is taught in Italian and focuses on the historical origins, legends and folklore of the eight traditional Chinese festivals, including the Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Qingming Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Qixi Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Chongyang Festival and Winter Solstice, as well as beautiful poems on the theme of traditional festivals. The course is dedicated to cultivate students' ability to tell Chinese stories and spread Chinese culture in Italian, so that they can receive traditional culture and enhance their cultural confidence and national pride in the process of learning. The course is aimed at Italian majors and other Italian learners with a certain level of language knowledge, and is also suitable for Italian speakers interested in Chinese culture.
