This course is the core course of the Construction Engineering Management major, suitable for construction engineering management or construction engineering technology majors in higher vocational schools. Its main function is to enable students to understand the basic knowledge of construction site safety management, familiarize themselves with the laws and regulations of construction safety production, master the safety management principles, objectives, and measures of civilized construction, foundation pit support, scaffolding engineering, formwork engineering, high-altitude operations, construction electricity, vertical transportation machinery, construction machinery, and other projects in construction sites. It has the ability to engage in safety management work such as construction safety supervision and inspection, safety testing and monitoring in African countries, and can be competent in frontline positions such as safety officers, construction workers, supervisors, and document clerks suitable for African countries.
The course selects engineering projects with strong professionalism and high risks in construction sites as the teaching content. Based on typical cases of construction sites, project-based teaching is carried out based on work processes, integrating the teaching content into three modules: basic knowledge of safety production management, construction safety technical measures, and safe and civilized construction.
