Functions of Complex Variable and Integral Transforms is a basic course for students of science and engineering. The aim of the course is to teach students the principal techniques and methods of analytic function theory. With a long history and rich content, the theory of complex functions is one of the most fundamental branches of mathematics. It has wide and significant applications to other fields not only in mathematics but also in other engineering subjects, like Analytic Number Theory, Mathematical Physics Equations, Fourier Analysis, Mechanics, Signal Processing, etc.
Complex analysis has become an indispensable and standard tool of the working mathematicians, physicists, and engineers. Neglect of it can prove to be a severe handicap in most areas of research and application involving mathematical ideas and techniques
The course is divided into two parts and all the following chapters will be included:
Part A. Functions of complex variable
Ø Chapter l Complex Numbers and Functions
Ø Chapter 2 Analytic Functions
Ø Chapter 3 Complex lntegrals
Ø Chapter 4 Series
Ø Chapter 5 Residues
Ø Chapter 6 Conformal Mappings
Part B. Integral Transforms
Ø Chapter 7 Fourier Transform
Ø Chapter 8 Laplace Transform
