Hello everyone, welcome to the Children’s Dance Choreography course. It is a core course in dance education that focuses on cultivating talented individuals who excel in both character and art in children’s dance education and choreography. It combines and integrates the standards of the Chinese Dance Level Test and national-level children’s dance competitions, fully leveraging the mission and advantages of dance in nurturing individuals through aesthetic education and cultivating excellence through beauty. Through the use of a task-centered four-element instructional design model, the course content has been restructured to form a dance aesthetic education curriculum with three key project modules.
The course design takes a perspective of nurturing the heart through aesthetic education and, for the first time in the field of art education, incorporates a comprehensive bag+4CID four-element task-based instructional design model. Throughout the entire process, practical component skills that directly serve the profession of children’s dance choreographer are extracted based on the actual tasks performed in the profession.
The entire course is driven by 12 complete real-world projects, supported by 40 operational skill points, and is completed within 116 class hours through interactive teaching and practice between teachers and students. The on-campus course adopts a blended teaching mode, combining online and offline instruction with a task-based approach. Before class, students utilize online course resources for previewing and initial project task modeling, while in-class activities involve offline group discussions. The course also incorporates online remote connections to training bases, enabling the participation and guidance of industry mentors alongside on-campus teachers. This course promotes the comprehensive and systematic development of innovative thinking, creative dance choreography, and teaching methods in the field of children’s dance education. Learners can independently arrange their studies anytime, anywhere according to their individual learning needs, thus truly achieving the goal and effect of learning for all, anytime anywhere.
