Overview

The course of Biopharmaceutical Process was founded by our university in 1979. It is the first professional course that dedicate for the cultivation of biopharmaceutical undergraduate student in China. It has been awarded the honor of National Quality Courses, National Quality Online Open Courses, National First-Class Undergraduate Courses - Online First-Class Courses, etc. The teaching team of the course is a national teaching team, which has won more than 60 teaching and scientific research awards at the provincial and ministerial level. We edited the textbook of Biopharmaceutical Process, which is the national planning textbook of the Eleventh Five Year Plan for General Higher Education, and the fifth round planning textbook of pharmaceutical specialty in National Medical Colleges and Universities, etc.

At present, this course is the core professional course (8.5 credits, 85 theoretical hours and 126 experimental hours) for undergraduates majoring in biopharmaceutics, biotechnology (Pharmaceutical direction), Bioengineering (Pharmaceutical direction), marine pharmacy, etc.  with about 420 students in 14 classes every year.

The online course covers 13 chapters, including the basis of biopharmaceutical technology, separation and purification technology and the preparation of typical biopharmaceuticals. There are more than 36 teaching videos, 60 teaching courseware and reference materials, and 174 exercises. The Chinese version has been opened for 11 sessions, with a total number of students of more than 30000. Students evaluate that the course explanation is detailed and the content setting is perfect, which is suitable for self-study. In addition, online courses also log in to the Learning Power platform and Xinhuanet course platform.It has become an important platform for teachers and students of biopharmaceutical related majors to learn and has a wide influence in China.
