â– Overview of Lecture
In this course, a new way is proposed to understand 'faces' that you see everyday and
the 'emotions' that change from moment to moment. For this, in the first half of the
class 'particular faces' will be addressed and in the second half 'abstract emotions' will
be addressed. It aims to try to consider faces and emotions as a kind of 'artwork' and
look at the world with 'artistic eyes'. By doing this, I hope that you will ultimately
become the subject of your life and further enriches your experiences in the world.
Because we are all 'a director of our valuable life'.
For reference, this class is characterized as follows. First of all, it offers an opportunity
to imagine and savor the "shape of mind" of popular cultural actors such as animation
characters, movies, and dramas, as well as good artworks and cultural heritages,
regardless of old and new, whether it is from the East or the West. Next, not limited to
the discourses in art and design, but foundations for a wide range of humanities will
be laid by combining Yin & Yang theory, the Book of Change, and physiognomy with
various systems, such as philosophy, literature, psychology, sociology, mathematics,
science, and overall beauty and plastic surgery. Finally, through this, it induces 'creative'
and 'critical' sensibility, thinking, insight, and behavior. Furthermore. It promotes the
creative and productive integration of the body and mind, that is, form and content,
images and stories. I hope this class will help you live a meaningful and happy life.
