工程力学是一门重要专业基础课。通过本课程的学习,学生应具备系统的工程力学基本知识,对后续专业基础课、专业课有必不可少的作用,系统地解决工程结构中构件及简单结构设计的计算要求,为学习有关专业课程打下基础。本课程的任务是:研究作用在结构(或构件)上力以及变形之间的关系,讨论构件的承载能力及材料的基本力学性能,为保证结构(或构件)的设计既安全可靠又经济合理提供必要的理论基础和计算方法。
