Fundamentals of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is a professional course and compulsory course for all Mechanical Engineering majors.
There are seven chapters in the course, including two parts: Theory and experiment. Chapter one to chapter six are the theory part and chapter seven is the experiment part. The course content involves international ISO geometric dimension and dimension tolerance standard, Chinese geometric dimension tolerance standard and American ASME tolerance standard. It also explains many testing methods and precision instruments and equipment, which greatly broadens students' vision and guides students to learn the different standard connotation and characteristics of product design.
