为使学生尽快掌握英语演讲的方方面面，本课程选取八个主题：公共场合演说的重要性、演说者的道德和可信度、演说中的倾听和批判、演说之前的准备、演说进行时的多种资源应用、演说之后的问答和即兴策略、演说恐惧的原因和应对以及公共场合演说的类型和方法。每个主题又细分为若干个次主题，以主题逻辑顺序编排，方便学生在线选取和学习。通过学习和练习，你将能够应对指定话题的演讲稿写作、特定场合的有准备演讲、问答环节以及即兴演讲；同时，你还将能够应用语言技能、谋篇方法、符合道德的演说实践以及批判思考等策略来掌控演说焦虑、管理听众反馈并提升个人在公共场合演说的可信度和有效性。
