This course is a historical and contemporary analysis of criminal homicide. Using actual case studies, students will examine the nature and extent of murder, including serial murder and sex-crime-related murder. Victimology, suspect profiling, and investigative techniques will also be assessed in relation to current and appropriate investigative procedures for the identification, collection, preservation, and presentation of evidence from a homicide crime scene.
