What you'll learn:
- Students will be able to describe how different networks in the brain are responsible for different mental behaviors
- Students will be able to carry out four distinct types of meditation each addressing a different function of the mind
- Students will know which mental/meditation exercises will increase their focus, awareness and mental quietude
- Students will have a way of addressing suffering in a structural rather than a contextual/content-driven way
This a complimentary course that teaches techniques and practices that enhance our ability to focus, quiten the mind and improve our emotional and mental health. You'll learn the basic concepts involved in understanding the human mind from a neurological perspective and take away a structural approach to dealing with stress.
