The rise of sovereign state has added a new perspective to the entire concept of understanding global politics. Contemporary international relation evolves around actors, nation states, international institutions and organizations, NGOs and multinational companies. If we want to take a deeper look on the evaluation of the state system and the concept of sovereignty we will find that opinions varies from person to person. The role of major powers in international politics and its interaction with super powers of the contemporary period are very much important in understanding not only the evaluation of international politics but also for international economics. This makes the entire domain of international politics complex and vast. The role of UN organizations, European union, USA, Russia, Peoples Republic of China (PRC), Japan, Australia and our own motherland India in international politics in contemporary period is not only imp but also influential. Global equalities, war against terrorism, cultural identities, the concern for global environment and the rise of a global civil society comes under the domain of understanding global politics.
