This course teaches everything about pixel art for video games. From the very basics to the advanced techniques. You will learn about lines, shapes, colour theory and harmony, colour palettes, designing characters, backgrounds, items, making animation and so much more!

This is the ONLY course you need to learn ALL about pixel art!

The curriculum has been carefully designed to guide you from the very start (picking a software) to drawing entire games (game mock ups).

This course (part 1) covers all the basics of pixel art and is PERFECT for beginners to jumpstart your pixel art journey (yes, even if you haven't touched any art until now)!

This Part 1 - Beginner sections - covers all around basics to get you started

After you finish this beginner friendly course, choose your own journey! Part 2 & 3 can be done in any order! (the naming is here simply because of release dates).

Part 2 - Game perspective basics - covers perspectives in games (e.g. platformer, isometric, RPG...)

Part 3 - Intermediate shading and material study - expands upon part 1 in topics of drawing materials (like foliage, rocks, metal, glass, gems etc.) and shading (like creation of dithering patterns, manual anti-aliasing etc).

This course is divided into sections. Each section has an intro and a small, practical challenge at the end to solidify the knowledge you've gained!
