In this class, I will explain to you everything about the best settings for the Sony A7Siii. I have filmed videos in a lot of different settings, sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn’t. So, I will save you some time (and wasted filming days), by explaining to you everything about what I’ve learned! After this class, you will be more confident using this camera and most importantly: you’re ready for your next project!
Structure of the class
- Why you should get the Sony A7S iii: I would describe the Sony A7Siii as a one-man army! I am filming all my freelance work ánd Youtube videos with this beast, and it never disappoints me.
- Video resolution size settings: XAVC HS 4k, XAVC S 4k, XAVC S-I 4K, all different 4k shooting modes. Do you know the difference? Or which one is the best? After this class, you will!
- Best memory cards: Did you know not all memory cards are working in this camera? But, the Sony A7sIII has a very interesting setup. It allows for 2 different types of memory cards in the same slot (not at the same time). I will explain to you which cards are the best!
- Picture profile settings: Picture profile settings allow you to change the settings for the colour, gradation etc. Important settings which you should know how to use. I will explain everything!
- S-Log3 to Rec 709 in Davinci Resolve: As Sony state: “Experience a world of creative possibilities with S-Log from Sony.” And they are true! I will explain to you why I choose to film in S-Log3 and how to convert these files to Rec 709 in Davinci Resolve, with just 2 steps!
- Custom button settings: The custom buttons are a lifesaver! I explain how to customize the custom buttons according to your filming mode. I will also show you my best custom button settings.
- Memory recall settings: There are 7 memory recall settings in this camera. You can assign different types of filming modes (for example 4k 120, 4k 60, HD etc.) to the 7 memory recall options.
- Timelapse settings: It took me so long to find the timelapse settings, no worries, I will explain to you where you can find the timelapse option and how to set it up.
