Presenter
Srijan Sen, MD, PhD is the Frances and Kenneth Eisenberg Professor of Depression and Neurosciences, Directory of the Depression Center and Associate Vice President for Research-Health Sciences at the University of Michigan. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, completed a psychiatry residency at the Yale University and returned to Michigan as faculty in 2009. The Intern Health Study is a longitudinal cohort study that assesses stress and mood in training physicians, enrolling over 22,500 participants from 80+ institutions. Dr. Sen is a member of the National Academy of Medicine Collaborative on Clinician Well-Being.

Learning Outcome(s)
At the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to discuss a new model that has been created to enhance provider understanding of how stress can lead to depression especially among training physicians.
