Throughout these Maya tutorials, we'll be simulating a flamethrower effect with Maya. We'll explore fluid attributes such as Density, Temperature, Velocity, and Fuel to simulate a realistic behavior for our flamethrower. We'll use a variety of fluid emitters and containers to control the attributes of our simulation. Next we'll construct both temperature and fuel grids to add even more attributes and realism to the flame effect. Finally we'll focus on shading and rendering our fluids with 3D elements and compose them with Adobe After Effects to produce a realistic flamethrower. By the end of this Maya training, you'll have the skills you need to build a realistic flamethrower effect that's ready for production. Software required: Maya 2014, Adobe After Effects CS6.
