In this exciting tutorial, we'll walk through the technicalities of creating a falling sack effect with Maya. Throughout these lessons we explore the concept of nCloth, Fluids, and nParticles to accomplish our intended project. We will be starting first with nCloth and quickly simulate a sack which is supposed to be filled with cement. We will prepare the sack with attributes to sustain the behavior of a realistic sack with pressure while dropping to the floor. We then move ahead with adding the effects of cement dust debris with help of Maya fluids. In addition we'll learn the attributes of physics, shading, and rendering to enhance our effects. Finally we add our secondary element with nParticles. At the end of this training, you will be prepared to simulate any FX shot which requires flex and dust debris simulations. Software required: Maya 2015, After effects Cs3.
