HIST 31 - History of the African American Degree Applicable, CSU, UC, IGETC Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENGL 68 History of African Americans from the Reconstruction period to the present, including historical processes and their impact on modern U.S. society. A critical analysis will be made of the contributions of African Americans to the historical development of the United States, and the transformations that have occurred as a result. Satisfies the requirement for a course in American institutions and ideals and the Constitution of the United States as required by Title 5 of the California Administrative Code.
