Analytics is a form of visual storytelling that informs business strategy. In this course, students will consider how visualization choices ultimately influence the clarity and strength of the stories they seek to tell. Students will become familiar with common visualization tools, and hone their skills in data visualization.

Module 1: Data Visualization
- Navigate Tableau and Microsoft Excel as visualization tools
- Identify and analyze data visualizations for effectiveness
- Identify various chart types used for effective data visualization
Module 2: Charting Toolkit I
- Analyze multiple data points and visualizations to form a narrative
- Convey complex information in plain language to diverse stakeholders
Module Three – Charting Toolkit II
- Select appropriate tools for communicating information to a given audience
- Analyze the usage of map-based visualizations
Module 4 – Data Visualization Techniques
- Identify basic tips and tricks of charting in Tableau
- Integrate feedback from audiences/stakeholders/leadership into revisions of the visualizations
