- Transforming Classrooms with Generative AI: A Practical Guide for Educators
- Instead of getting bogged down in technical details, you’ll dive straight into how AI can make your life easier -- saving you time, enhancing student engagement, and providing personalized learning experiences. You will explore key generative AI concepts, as well as practical and ethical considerations that will help you navigate the complexities of AI in your teaching. You will examine AI-generated biases, address the risks of AI-facilitated cheating, and explore how AI can both aid and hinder genuine student learning.
- Working with AI
- Are you ready to craft and refine prompts that enhance learning experiences? In this module, you'll dive into practical techniques for improving AI-generated content by tailoring it to your students' needs, ensuring the explanations provided are clear, accurate, and free from biases. By the end of this module, you’ll be able to add context and personality to AI prompts, develop strategies for enhancing the precision of AI responses, and use advanced prompting techniques to achieve more meaningful interactions.
- Building AI Exercises for Students
- How can you create interactive and personalized learning experiences for your students? In this module, you'll learn how to use ChatGPT to develop assignments that combine learning science with the AI's ability to improvise and personalize responses. You'll explore specific use cases that prompt students to generate explanations and test their understanding of class concepts. You'll also learn how to add scaffolding to AI-student interactions by incorporating reflection activities. By thoughtfully experimenting with this approach, you'll discover when to effectively integrate AI assignments into your curriculum and enhance your teaching toolkit through practical experience.
- Creating GPTs for Educators and Students
- Ready to create your own GPTs? In our final module, you will learn how to create custom chatbots, or GPTs, that you can assign to students to help them practice core skills. You’ll explore the process of designing and testing custom GPT prompts that can simulate scenarios, offering students choices and a hands-on opportunity to practice applying what they learned in class. You will focus on setting clear goals for AI assignments, building GPTs to suit your educational context, and evaluating your GPT through iterative testing and feedback.
