- Section 1: Getting familiar with the fundamentals
- In this section, students will learn the basic financial analysis terms, become familiar with the three primary financial statements and what they represent, and understand the difference between profits on an income statement and cash flow.
- Section 2: Deeper dive into the financial statements
- In this section, students will learn how to develop a basic skillset for assessing a company's financial health by reviewing their financial statements. This includes understanding simple ratios like the current, debt-equity, and profit margin ratios.
- Section 3: Looking at value of money
- In this section, students will learn financial concepts like net present value, internal rate of return, and return on investment which involve analysing discounted cash flows to properly evaluate investments.
