Also explores promotion and cross-functional systems that strengthen the organization as well as retention strategies to promote and reward high-quality talent. Managing and developing talent is one of the top three issues on the minds of CEOs from around the world. In fact, CEOs cite managing and developing their leadership talent as the issue that is most important to the future success of their business but that their organizations are least capable of addressing effectively. Offers students an opportunity to engage in various activities intended to illustrate and practice the skills involved in implementing talent management systems.

- Basics of Talent Management
- In this module you will learn about the essential questions that face leaders as they attempt to implement the Global Talent Management system into their organization. You will also learn about the difference between operational and strategic talent management and begin orienting yourself to the kinds of advantages you can build when managing human capital.
- The Global Talent Management Framework
- In this module, you will learn about some key tools used within the GTM framework: the environmental scan, how to prioritize risk, and how to align your talent management activities with workforce planning.
- Diving Deeper into Talent Management Practices
- This module continues the deep dive examining an organization's talent management practices, starting with profiling: how do we know where we are in the process of strategic workflow planning? Only when we know the current state can we proceed to plan for the future.
- Putting Talent Management Into Action
- This module focuses on the actions you can take as a leader to manage your talent pipeline. Beginning with gap analysis, you will learn about action planning, wrapping up the module with a lesson on virtual global teams.
