Craft original poems each week, responding to various prompts from your readings in contemporary poetry, and thoughtfully respond to your classmates’ poems, while developing formal strategies for revising your own.
This course will dive deeper into craft techniques, and the assignments will include poems in received forms. Readings and assignments will include a variety of poetic forms and a variety of poetic subgenres, such as odes, elegies, persona.
