This course qualifies for both 8-Hour Chapter 33 and 8-Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher Training courses. This course can be taken to renew Site Safety Manager (SSM) or Site Safety Coordinator (SSC) license and also satisfies the requirement of 8 Hours of prescribed training (8 Hour Chapter 33) for a Site Safety Training card as required by Local Law 196. Training Requirement:As per NYC DOB, to renew a Site Safety Manager Certificate, the applicant must complete 8 hours of refresher training as mandated by Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York § 104-06 Continuing Education Requirements. The SSM license expires every 3 years, license holders much complete the 8 Hour refresher course one year immediately prior to renewing their license.For renewal of Site Safety Coordinator Certificate, the applicant must complete 8 hours of refresher training as mandated by Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York § 104-06 Continuing Education Requirements. SSC license holders must complete the course every year as annual renewal fo the coordinator certification is required by NYC DOB. Site Safety Coordinator term is 1 year.SST training Local Law 196 – Designated construction worker are required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training. This course satisfies the 8 Hours of prescribed training that can used towards obtaining the Site Safety Card. The 8 Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher / Chapter 33 course is a shortened version of the 40 Hour Site Safety Manager Course for Licensed Professional Engineers, Registered Architects, and Construction Supervision or Safety Professionals. This course reviews NYC DOB Buildings Codes in Chapter 33. The purpose of the course is to emphasize safety, accident prevention, and discuss the roles of Site Safety Manager, Coordinator and Superintendent.
