Advisory: Completion of ID-10, ID-14, and ID-15. Other: Familiarity with AutoCAD or other computer drafting programs, interior floor plans, and design fundamentals. This course provides fundamental skill development in space planning for interiors. Students will investigate the design process, human factors, accessibility, universal design, spatial relationships, sustainability, codes, and aesthetic considerations for interior layouts. Students will practice the programming of spaces using adjacency studies and diagramming of factors such as circulation, light, and air to meet user needs. This course examines how culture is represented globally and how those representations can affect the design of residential and non-residential projects. Transfer: CSU
